What is RSS?
Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is a web format designed for sharing text and other content. A feed reader (aggregator) checks RSS-enabled webpages and displays the press releases or articles it finds. Geisinger RSS delivers the headline, summary and full-text link of all our news releases to your browser. There are many popular, free RSS readers that you can download including SharpReader for PC users and NetNewsWire for Mac users. RSS feeds are also available through free web-based readers such as My Yahoo, MSN and Bloglines. RSS feeds typically are linked via an orange rectangle with the letters XML or RSS.
